Iraj Aliabadi    Senior Consultant

Mr. Aliabadi was born in 1928. He is a graduate of Ancien Eleve du Centre des Hautes  Etudes D'assurance in Paris in 1961 . He also holds a Phd in Law & Political Science which he received in 1964 from Tehran University. Mr. Aliabadi had on the job training in various foreign insurance institutes like  Longdoc in  France and  Generali in Italy . 

His career in insurance  started with Iran Insurance Company in 1952 . He became the head of " Fire Insurance " department there and worked his way up to managing director position of Iran Insurance Co. U.K. . After he retired in early March of 1977,he became the managing director of Tehran Insurance Co. ( an Allianz - AGF joint venture ) . Later , when nationalization of insurance industry occurred in 1979 ,he became  Hafez Insurance Co's managing director , and in 1980 he became a member of the board of directors of  Melli Insurance Co. . Upon his resignation from these positions , Mr. Aliabadi became a consultant to various insurance companies including  the Central Insurance of Iran ( CII ) .

 His professional memberships includes : member of editorial board of" Insurance Industry"  ( a quarterly that is published by CII in Tehran ) ; and member of Association of Graduates of Ancien Eleve du Centre des Hautes  Etudes D'assurance  .

 Mr. Aliabadi has published numerous articles in economics and insurance professional magazines , and been the speaker of many seminars in Iran and overseas  . He is also a known teacher of "Constitution " , " Insurance " and  "Commercial " law courses in different Iranian universities .

 He has also authored and translated number of books in finance and sociology .

 He is married and has a son and a daughter .
